26/7/2012: Craig Brown has confirmed to the Evening Express he's had talks with Sir Alex Ferguson in a bid to bringMichael Keane to Aberdeen on loan. The highly-rated defender is set for a temporary move to further his education and the Dons are making an effort to take him to Pittodrie.
26/7/2012: Royal Antwerp's Gunther Hofmans has admitted the club are trying to land players from United on loan again next term. "We expect players from Manchester United and Lyon but we won't get news on that until August," he told Gazet van Antwerpen.
26/7/2012: Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood says he can't comprehend whyRobin van Persie wants to leave Arsenal as it's suggested in the Daily Star that the player could be retained until January, when his value would surely plummet. "He is a world-class player and we don’t want to give him away," stressed Hill-Wood. "If he is determined to leave that is up to him, but giving him away is not on our agenda
honest, I do not understand him at all. I understood Cesc Fabregas wanting to go home to Barcelona last summer. I had sympathy with that, but I thought Robin was happy at Arsenal, especially after the season he had with us."
25/7/2012: Sky Italia suggests the battle to sign Robin van Persie is a two-horse race between United and Juventus, cites tuttojuve.com. The Dutchman reportedly wants to join a club with "history and heraldry" according to the Italian source. Arsenal want at least £25million for their captain.
25/7/2012: Sir Alex Ferguson updated the transfer situation during a press conference in Shanghai. "We've been trying all summer to add to our squad," he said. "We've got Kagawa and Powell and we're working on one or two other things. I have nothing to tell you in terms of confirmation as to whether any other players are joining us at this moment in time. But we are trying to add to our squad."

25/7/2012: The Gazzetta dello Sportreports that Inter Milan are set to turn to Bologna's Gaston Ramirez if they lose out to United over Lucas Moura.
25/7/2012: Terra in Brazil reckons Sao Paulo are willing to negotiate over Lucas Moura with agent Wagner Ribeiro given the green light to travel to England and talk to United. Ribeiro had indicated the deal was off but Terra feels a transfer can be sealed for €40million, although possibly not until after the Olympics. Lucas is said to be keen on moving to Old Trafford.
24/7/2012: River Plate midfielderEzequiel Cirigliano is the latest name to enter the frame with regards to United's alleged summer targets. The Reds are attempting to sign the 20-year-old, according to the Daily Mirror, with River demanding at least £5million for the Argentina Under-20 international.
24/7/2012: Lucas Moura's agent says the teenager will not be leaving Sao Paulo after United's final offer was rejected. "United have reached theirlimit," Wagner Ribeiro told UOL. "Lucas Moura won't leave. He is happy at Sao Paulo. We have to forget this subject. There is no possibility he leaves now. Manchester United made an offer, which was rejected, and they won't make another one as they have reached their limit."
23/7/2012: Lance in Brazil believe United will make a final €40million offer to Sao Paulo for Lucas Moura with a five-year contract on the table for the winger. It's being reported as a "take it or leave it" bid. The player has apparently been learning English in the past year.
23/7/2012: Wagner Ribeiro, agent toLucas Moura, has responded to the latest bout of speculation relating to the Sao Paulo winger. In an interview withGazeta Esportivo, he stated: "This is speculation in the English newspapers. All parties have to agree - the player, the buying club and the seller. I guarantee 100 per cent that Lucas is not signed [with United]. He is focused on the Olympics. It's a London newspaper. This kind of news planted is very common in England."23/7/2012: Talksport relays a report from Russian newspaper Life Sports to indicate that Zenit St Petersburg are the latest club to show an interest in Dimitar Berbatov. It's claimed the striker's agent Emil Danchev has been in touch with the club about a two-year contract.
23/7/2012: Sir Alex confirmed an interest in Lucas Moura at a press conference in Shanghai but denied that a deal has already been agreed with Sao Paulo.
23/7/2012: Although the Daily Mirrorreports that a fee has been agreed between Sao Paulo and United forLucas Moura, reports in Brazil suggest president Juvenal Juvencio and the winger's agent Wagner Ribeiro have denied a deal has been struck.
23/7/2012: 14-year-old Scot Mark Hillhas revealed he's signed for Celtic despite holding talks with Sir Alex. "After meeting him and seeing Carrington, it was very hard to say 'no'," he told The Scottish Sun. "I felt Celtic was the better move at this time of my life."
